La Rose Anglaise

Martha Lisa Tendo Nikita

La Rose Anglaise,
Scattered like blood,
Yet emerged with such grace,
With such valour,
We may never replace,
The lives lost to conflict,
And our everlasting debt,
La Rose Anglaise

This is my poem I wrote in class and my teacher
really liked it and had my whole class analyze it.
We were learning about War Poetry and I decided
to write about the gracefulness and braveness of
the English Soldiers who I chose to refer to as
the English Roses because they are beautiful,
however they have killed some soldiers and
that is why they have thorns.
