Replying to Shakespeare:
Sonnet I

You said nothing about high blood pressure
Or the silver hairs that adorn my head;
Sacrificing my moments of leisure
Because the little sods won’t go to bed.
Time to myself seems like a distant dream,
I’m knackered, my energy is all spent –
I know you might think I’m being extreme
But I am really not feeling content.
I was happy in my bachelor pad:
Well groomed, flush – I had the pick of the girls,
I’d no intention of being a dad,
It’s the last thing I wanted in the world.
Pity me, Will, for my old life is done
Now it revolves around daughter and son.
