Elaine Jarvest Miller writes poetry which, though often based on personal events, alters and transcends her experiences to form poems of universal appeal.
Accessible, often amusing, always entertaining, she layers her poems with a deep sense of humanity which is shared with us, transferring feelings to the poem and thus to us as readers. As such her poetry deserves to be read more than once and each reading will reveal another level of her carefully crafted poems.
Elaine read history at St Hilda’s College, Oxford. She has had various occupations but her latest employment was with the charity Victim Support. She has one son and lives in Devon.
